Featuring the NY Long Island Chorus
Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 7pm
Northport Library
151 Laurel Avenue
Northport NY 11731

The Long Island Chorus is a unique singing group comprised of members with diverse backgrounds who share a passion for music. The director and conductor, Professor Haihua Shen, has more than 50 years of successful performing experience and has inspired the group to add some of the most melodic and lovely compositions in the eastern/western musical repertoire. This performance will be an enchanting and eclectic mix of Chinese and Taiwanese traditional songs, Italian opera, Broadway show tunes, a Rachmaninoff piano piece and a popular American folk song. Admission is free and open to the public. Stella Shieh, president and artistic director of the Asian-American Cultural Circle of Unity is organizing the event.
